MLT’ers Counted among the World’s Most Exceptional MBAs in c/o 2015

By: Avril Langevine

We are proud to share that three MLT MBA Prep 2013 Rising Leaders — Kevin Bentley, Jennifer Meacham, and George Wilson — have been honored by Poets & Quants in an article featuring “The World’s Best & Brightest MBAs” for the Class of 2015:

Kevin Bentley graduated from Rice University, Jones Graduate School of Business, and has secured a senior consultant position at Infosys. In explanation of Kevin’s nomination, Director of Rice’s Full-Time MBA Program, Jeremy Grace, said:

“You stated in your call for nominations that you sought students who exemplify the best of your school, who evidenced no only academic prowess and extracurricular involvement, but also personal excellence, and a striking personal narrative. Mr. Kevin Bentley fits all of these things. Specifically, when considering our individual nominations, I thought of those individuals who have made the most significant contributions to the JGSB during their time as students and those who displayed extraordinary leadership across a number of areas, above and beyond expectations. I asked myself this question: ‘Can I have imagined the Class of 2015 without this individual?’ In Kevin’s case, the answer was a clear no.”

Jennifer Meacham graduated from the New York University Stern School of Business and has secured an associate role at Goldman Sachs. Regarding Jennifer’s leadership and impact on her class, Diana Hyde, director of the Office of Student Engagement, said:

“Jen has served the community by driving positive change at NYU Stern, all while balancing a future career in Private Wealth Management at Goldman. Whether it is done through her role as President of the Association of Hispanic & Black Business Students that planned and executed the first diversity case competition at Stern, to leading the charge for diversity, inclusion and allyship training, or putting together a phenomenal event on a topic of national significance (centered on the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner), Jen has been a leader in the community. She has had an impact on her classmates that will resonate in their world view for the rest of their lives. Jen will be receiving a NYU President Service Award this year for her distinguished service and contribution to New York University and the community.”

George Wilson graduated from Columbia Business School and advanced within the National Basketball Association to work in Business Development & Operations. When asked what made George such an invaluable addition to the class of 2015 at Columbia, Michael Robinson, Senior Associate Director of Admissions, said:

“When the Admissions team met George, we saw tremendous leadership potential. We now see him as an influential leader and inspiration within our community. Ever dedicated, driven, and focused, George always creates time and opportunities for others. From working with prospective students and sharing his own story at CBS Matters, about what has influenced him and why, George is a role model for others. As Michael said, George is one who remembers those who have also helped him along the way. From participating in admissions events to sharing the voicemail that David Stern (former commissioner of the NBA) left George, congratulating him on the acceptance to CBS, George is a salt-of-the-earth guy who is one of the good ones. We are proud and fortunate that George Wilson wears Columbia Blue and represents our CBS brand.”
