As a college student, the path to figuring out your passion and graduating with a job offer can feel overwhelming. MLT’s Career Prep program provides Fellows with a winning professional playbook, 18 months of one-on-one coaching, and an accelerating network of 8,000 MLT Rising Leaders. 

We will help you gain career-accelerating skills not taught in classrooms, cultivate personal clarity, and connect with top employers for potential internships and full-time roles. Career Prep provides general programming across a variety of industries.

The MLT Career Prep Program Experience
Your MLT Career Prep experience starts the summer before your junior year of college and continues through the beginning of your senior year. Here’s how MLT will help you achieve your goals:


  1. One-on-one coaching: An expert MLT Coach will guide you through the program and help you create a personalized career roadmap that ties your long-term career aspirations to near-term goals and development objectives.
  2. Personal clarity: You will gain insight into your strengths, passions, and development areas. You will define how these personal elements align with your ultimate career goals, allowing you to better tell your story in job interviews.
  3. Job search guidance: Fellows develop the skills and relationships needed for their target career and become better prepared for the recruiting process. MLT coaches provide resume and cover letter support, as well as critical insights on networking, interviewing, and relationship management.
  4. A powerful professional network: You will connect with a community of peers, who have similar interests and career aspirations, and join a network of more than 8,000 MLT Alumni, corporate partners, and other business leaders.
  5. Exposure and access to top employers: Career Prep Fellows receive access to the leading hiring organizations in consulting, technology, financial services, consumer goods, retail, and more — all seeking to recruit MLT talent for internships and full-time jobs.
  6. In-person and virtual seminars: Fellows attend mandatory weekend seminars. Each event is designed to provide participants with the insights and skills needed to secure high-trajectory internships and jobs. Seminars include skill-building workshops, case studies, industry panels, and networking sessions. Content is delivered by our corporate partners, MLT coaches, and additional subject matter experts. Seminars are generally hosted on the campuses of MLT’s corporate partners. The typical time frames for these seminars are:

Rosalie Schraut, Senior Director, College Programs

Education: Rosalie obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois, at Urbana-Champaign

ExperienceAfter graduation, Rosalie became a recruiter for a technical consulting firm. After one year, she moved to an internet consulting firm, recruiting engineers, executives, and undergraduates. From there, Kraft Foods hired Rosalie to manage their MBA and executive recruiting for Market Research, Brand Management, and Marketing Services. Rosalie supervised the INROADS internship program at Kraft HQ. Outside of work, she volunteered with Chicago Scholars and Chicago YMCA to present resume writing, interview skills, and life coaching for high school students of color. Rosalie originally joined MLT in 2004, as a Career Prep Coach. Over the next seven years, Rosalie continued in Career Prep and was promoted to Head Coach then Associate Director, as well as stepping in as Interim Director, two times. She left MLT in late 2011 to focus on her family. Over the course of the next 3 years, she continued to engage in small projects for MLT, such as application review and alumni communication. Rosalie officially came back in a full-time capacity to MLT in 2015 to help run the MBA Professional Development program. She continues to volunteer at the local elementary school and coaches youth soccer.

Career Prep Coaches

Education: M.B.A. with a concentration in finance, Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. Accounting, Roosevelt University

Experience: Valerie joined MLT in 2006, prior to which she worked in financial services in sales, new business development, and as a client manager. At GE, she marketed finance capabilities and priced, structured, and negotiated terms and conditions. In Private Wealth Management at Goldman Sachs, she sold equity, fixed income and special investment products to investment managers, insurance companies, nonprofit institutions, and individuals. Valerie also obtained Series 3, 7, and 63 securities licenses. As a financial analyst at CBS News, she managed the operating budget for foreign-service news bureaus. She has completed a formal bank credit-training program and worked in public accounting as an auditor.


Andrea M. O’Neal, Senior Career Prep Coach

Education: B.A. in Business Economics from Brown University

ExperienceAndrea joined the Career Prep coaching team at MLT in 2013 with a professional background in financial services. As an Equity Capital Markets investment banker at Merrill Lynch, Andrea has enjoyed achievements that include a direct promotion to IB Associate, participation in Merrill Lynch’s Associate Training Program at The Wharton School, a member of deal teams for some of the world’s most preeminent IPOs, and being selected by the firm to live and work internationally for 4 years across Europe and Asia. She also has earned securities licenses for financial markets in the US, UK, and Hong Kong. After leaving Merrill Lynch’s London office, Andrea became the Senior Program Manager of the SEO Career Program’s investment banking & private equity platform. As a Coach, Andrea is deeply passionate about seeing young professionals thrive by helping them to find personal clarity and to build competitive skills that earn full-time positions in leading global careers.


Miguel A. Sánchez, Career Prep Coach

Education: M.B.A., Harvard Business School. B.A. in Government, Harvard College

Experience: Miguel joined MLT in 2016 with a background in financial services, private equity & venture capital investing, corporate strategy, and technology entrepreneurship. Miguel has worked in Investment Banking at Credit Suisse and in various corporate roles at JPMorgan Chase. Miguel is an alumnus of Prep for Prep, a Gates Millennium Scholar, and a Robert Toigo Fellow.


Rishal Stanciel, Senior Career Prep Coach

Education: M.B.A., concentration in marketing and management strategy, Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. B.A., Political Science, Northwestern University

Experience: Rishal joined MLT in 2008. She has over 15 years of consumer packaged goods sales and marketing management experience as well as sports management experience with several organizations including Kraft, M&M Mars, Pfizer, and Russell Athletic. At Northwestern she played Division I basketball as a full scholarship athlete. Her last corporate assignment was Marketing Director of Women’s Sports and Marketing Strategy for Russell Corporation. Since leaving corporate America, she has been managing a nonprofit, GLUE (Giving Love Unites Everyone), which she launched in 2003 to assist at-risk youth in the college preparation process.


Angie Temming, Senior Career Prep Coach

Education: M.A. in Higher Education from New York University, B.A. from Miami University

Experience: Angie joined MLT as a CP Coach in 2004 with experience in investor relations and career services at NYU and St. John’s University. In addition to advising and producing professional development programs for MBAs, Angie developed and taught a career management course at St. John’s and Fordham University and now leads CP’s curriculum development efforts. With 20+ years of coaching experience, Angie is also a fitness instructor and loves travel.


Anndrea Moore, Career Prep Coach

Education: M.B.A., Harvard Business School. B.S. Marketing, University of Cincinnati

Experience: Anndrea is an innovative brand and product marketing leader with expertise in identifying and driving customer-focused solutions for three of the world’s most valuable brands: Google, Apple, and Facebook. She spent several years at Google, driving product adoption via 1:1 digital marketing consulting with small and medium businesses (SMB) to managing the AdWords incentives program, ultimately receiving a platinum award from the CMO. At Apple, she led the creation of the SMB digital strategy and led SMB growth and programs for Currently, she leads product marketing for the Core Advertiser Growth team at Facebook leveraging her SMB expertise to accelerate Facebook Inc advertiser growth. Her pre-tech experience includes consulting brand management teams at P&G and Unilever during her time in marketing research and analytics at The Nielsen Company. She joined the MLT Career Prep team in 2018 and is a proud MLT MBAPrep ‘14 alum.


Keauna Mason, Career Prep Coach

Education: M.B.A., Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business (GSB). B.S. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Southern California (USC)

Experience: During her time at Stanford, she was an ambassador for the GSB MBA Admissions Ambassador Program as well as a writer for the Stanford Reporter. Upon graduation, she was an independent consultant working in Education for the Santa Ana Unified School District and conducted market research in Hong Kong for Cathay Pacific Airways’ Asia Miles Loyalty Program. After a year working independently, she decided to pursue her passion in music where she worked as the Lead Digital Marketing Analyst at Interscope Records (Universal Music Group) for 3 years. She then transitioned into Tech as the West Coast Customer Success Manager Team Lead at Tubular Labs growing the LA Office (Silicon Valley Tech Startup co-founded by two Stanford GSB graduates). After 3 years at Tubular, she made the leap to Facebook where she leads a team of 9 Recruiting Coordinators who support the Machine Learning and R4RC pipelines. In addition to working at Facebook, Keauna works as a part-time coach for MLT.

Prior to business school, Keauna worked as an Electrical Engineer for Northrop Grumman in the Vehicle Management Systems and Flight Controls group and also an IT consultant for a boutique entertainment consulting firm.

Her other experience includes being a mentor, coach, and interviewer (2013 – Present) for the UCLA Anderson School of Management Riordan Fellows Program, speaking on professional panels, and serving as a Board member for the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Black MBA (NBMBAA) from 2014 – 2018. As a Board Member on the NBMBAA, she served as the chapter Secretary, Director of Student Affairs, Director of Social Media, and the VP, Administration.


Linda Tobia, Career Prep Coach

Education: B.S., Computer Science, California State University, Sacramento

Experience: Linda Tobia led engineering teams in the high-tech industry for twenty years. Throughout that time she coached many employees and peers through career and life changes. She has that passion to help others to the next level through coaching at Management Leadership for Tomorrow. Running and living a healthy life are key focuses for Linda. She is at her happiest when she is spending time with family or outside; hiking, playing, and photographing the wonders of nature. As a coach, her philosophy is that we all have something unique to offer in this world, and it should be fun to explore our special talents and interests to lead us towards amazing outcomes.


Morris Lee, Career Prep Coach 

Education: B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University

Experience: Morris joined the MLT Career Prep coaching team in 2019 with a background in Supply Chain and Manufacturing in both the Consumer Packaged Goods and Automotive Industries. He’s held various positions in Engineering and Operations of increasing responsibility. Morris is an alumnus of MLT Career Prep, and is committed to combining his passion for developing people with his desire to build community as a Career Prep Coach.


Sarah Claxton Deming, Career Prep Coach

Education: MBA, Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Whitman College

Experience: Throughout her career, Sarah has thrived when she’s been in a consumer-centered role whether that was in the Tech, CPG, or Healthcare industries. She spent several years working at Google across SMB Sales and Consumer Operations teams. Sarah then attended Northwestern University where she earned an MBA focused on marketing and graduated in the top 10% of her class. Sarah cemented her classical marketing training at Nestle working as an Associate Brand Manager on the iconic Häagen-Dazs bran. Most recently, Sarah was tapped to lead marketing efforts for the REAL System, a new healthcare startup, where she will be responsible for building a new brand and launching a first-of-its-kind virtual reality rehabilitation product. Sarah is a proud MLT Professional Development alum (’15) and joined the Career Prep coaching team part-time in 2019.


James Silva, Career Prep Coach

Education: Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University.

Experience: James Silva is a Career Prep Coach for the Software Engineering Track. He brings two decades of experience in software engineering and product management, having worked at companies such as eBay, Expedia, and Adobe, and is the CEO of his own startup, ConciergeBot. James graduated from Stanford University with a BS in Computer Science and is passionate about improving diversity and inclusion in tech.


Christopher JohnsonChristopher Johnson, Career Prep Coach

Education: Christopher has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the College of William & Mary.

Experience:  Christopher is the Founding Partner of The Laight Group, an advisory firm that provides real estate strategies for clients with an emphasis on investment analysis. Before founding The Laight Group, Christopher advised landlords, tenants, and investors on lease and investment sales transactions for Robert K. Futterman & Associates. Prior to his tenure at Robert K. Futterman & Associates, Christopher was a member of the investment sales team for Eastdil Secured where he provided financial analysis for a diverse portfolio of transactions with a market value in excess of $5 billion. He began his career in financial services as an Institutional Equity Sales Advisor and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of New York.
