MLT helped me to land an internship role with a Fortune 500 company, where I later accepted a full-time opportunity upon graduating from Howard University.

How has MLT changed the financial/economic trajectory for you and your family?
The skill sets that I have learned through being an MLT Rising Leader has helped me understand my worth and the value that I bring to the table.

Has MLT elevated your personal and professional aspirations? If so, please provide an example.
MLT's recent entrepreneurial pitch series has inspired me to continue pursuing my entrepreneurial endeavors, and to become a potential MLT partner in the near future.

How has MLT's community helped advance your personal and/or professional happiness?
Within the MLT community, more specifically within the LA Community as the Chapter Leader, I am fortunate to work with phenomenal Rising Leaders who organize professional, social and community service activities.

Speak to a challenge MLT helped you overcome and how did that help your trajectory (i.e. confidence that you belong, growth mindset, vulnerability).
Confidence has always been a strength of mine. MLT, however, helped me take my confidence to another level. Whether it's an interview or presenting to senior leaders, I'm always ready to deliver, and to go above and beyond expectations.

Have you helped advance vulnerable people on their path to economic mobility? If so, how?
Utilizing the skills that I have developed through MLT, I have helped peers and future Rising Leaders position themselves with Fortune 500 companies, receive job offers or salary increases, and to accelerate within their roles.

Share 2-3 ways you've been able to accelerate your organization's journey toward greater diversity and inclusion.
Helped create a culture within my organization, in which we started having more conversations about diversity issues and ways we can impact our community to address those issues.

Share your favorite song, movie, or book, and why it appeals to you.
One of my favorite movies is Remember the Titans. Besides the fact that Denzel Washington is in the movie, (who I still believe is my cousin, but will let Ancestry.com determine that) this fiction story depicts the history we faced as Americans, especially African-Americans, in order to receive fair and equal treatment. Coach Boone helped break down race barriers and showed the world that it was okay to associate with other races and become family. The sad truth is we still face these issues today. We need to find ways to improve race relations so we, as a society, can succeed. Too many people are being killed because of their race or due to their religion. It's imperative that we look at ourselves in the mirror and recognize that we are no different than the person to our left and right.

What is your superpower?
Flying would be my superpower. There are so many places that I would like to travel to and to have the ability to fly to different countries and explore a new culture would be exhilarating!

What gives you hope?
I don't think you need hope when you have a strong faith system. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, in all ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight"-Proverbs 3:5
