Retention & Advancement: Early Career

Compass

Building a Foundation for Career Success

Overview

Let MLT's talent development experts build a foundation for retention and advancement of all of your high-potential employees. Our Compass Workshop provides talent strategies, leading practices and techniques that will accelerate and advance careers. We leverage our experience with our growing network of 15,000 rising leaders, business schools, and corporate partners to deliver insight on how to equip and embolden high-achieving individuals.

How it Works

Compass begins with 6 weeks of quantitative input and program customization. MLT works with your Program Sponsors to conduct focus groups plus interviews to gain a strong understanding of the specific culture of the organization and opportunities for MLT's proven navigation techniques. Number and size depend on the scope of the participants, but can range from 4-10 groups, and on average, 4-6 leader interviews.

Next, we facilitate Compass workshop; providing a playbook for success with practical examples from inside your organization. Following the workshop, there are Coaching Circle sessions to strengthen practice and dive into real-life experiences.  Workshops are customized to balance the needs of the organization and the participants.  It can be delivered in 2-hour modules over a series of day or as a full-day session.

Timing and Delivery

Sessions can be delivered virtually or in person. We highly recommend in-person for a more meaningful and collaborative experience. Overall a standard engagement lasts approximately two months from the prep and delivery and 6-8 weeks for the coaching sessions. Partners needing additional support can select additional cohorts, workshops by level, and one-on-one coaching. Organizations can also exercise our “train the trainer” option, where we work to prepare your organization to lead these sessions in-house.
